Capt. Mike is correct, Bump means to move up, in this case it means to move it up or repeat the post if no one answers the post.

You are quite right. Slang words should be avoided on a list like this. Thank you for the reminder. But, they probablywill creep into a post from time to time. But, if they do people should do like you did and ask about it? A "bump" or "bump up" at least in speed terns would be an increase in speed. Hope this makes it a little clearer.
