Hi Scott,
Totally agree. I got a good deal on the D135 Lynch and Kv is key as you say. I started with AGM which is all I could afford at the time, but as I work for Victron I ultimately went Lithium. Yes, I also think 48V geared is perfect but as I said it was all about space and money initially and then the system evolved, so more batteries was more more money, not enough space - hence figuring how to run direct at 24V, 25.6V nominal now with lack of Peukert and voltage stability to die for with the Lithiums. As the years have gone by I also have a separate agm house bank, with an inverter/charger. Nice to have AC onboard and they also act as a backup pack and can between the 900 Watt continuous genny put in 1,400 Watts into the propulsion bank short term using power assist or 900 Watts continuous. The inverter is 700W so runs my toaster etc.Tea and toast a necessity 😏
As I blog for Victron one of the other things I do is beta test software using their Color Control GX. I find that very useful on the boat via my phone app and the remote management, such as switching a charger on/off from anywhere. Good to see you get it too btw 😏
PS I remember you, and your video back in the early days when we both started faffing with electric.
