That's what it comes down to isn't it.? Gas or not.
I like electrical and think it's the future. Emphasis on "future".
As far as the Atomic 4 goes, add me to the list of mechanical type guys that think it's a fine engine. If I had an old one that wasn't doing well and the boat was already set up for it, I'd seriously consider simply replacing it with an updated installation using a newly rebuilt example of the very same engine.

the atomic 4 is very reliable and gives great service with minimal maintenance. Having owned 4 and around 10,000 miles on them and only one valve job, which I did in one afternoon, other than routine twice a year, I would say that the problem is with the owners not the engine.
look how many are still out there giving fine service.
