I agree entirely. However, I am not aware of any domestic mfr of lithium cells that offer anywhere near the value of the CALB product. If I needed the extremely high discharge rates afforded by the A123 and Kokam cells, then I would be willing to pay the much greater cost of these. But I don't. These seem to be used mainly by racers.
As for right now, I don't see any "Made in USA" alternative for large format lithium cells. Anybody know one?
