Anyone have recent experience with re-e-power and their e-pod drives? Just looking at their website and they claim to have a new design.
I ask because of the recent thread about maturing the e-boat market. I happen to think this industrial design - notwithstanding engineering challenges - offers one of the better opportunities for market expansion because of the much wider variety of boats it can be applied to (including boats with no room for normal inboard) - thus much smaller boats become practical on the one hand and much larger boats (using 2+ pods @48V) also become practical.
Additionally, the physical installation seems much simpler (not having tried it myself however) than my own in-board experience was.
I know there were some (ahem..) challenges to their business reputation in the past, but I'm wondering if anyone with recent experience is on-list and can comment (good or bad) on the result.
