Re: [Electric Boats] Ariens 48 Volt Snow blower

I found it , thanks, I actually thought about doing this to an old '70's Arien I inherited, about 4 yrs ago.
The battery technology is key. Right now it takes me 45 minutes to do 6-8" snow in a 70' driveway.
This application really indicates a turning point.

If you remove the comma at the end of the link, it will get you there. As shown in the video, the relative quietness of operation might get me to buy a snow blower yet. And since the best part of sailing is when I shut off the Atomic-4, maybe I'll also get to the silence of electric propulsion someday.

Not boat related but interesting. I was just at the repair shop picking up my snow blower when out of the corner of my eye I spotted Ariens new 48 volt two stage snow blower. It will be interesting to see how its performance proves out. You can see it here: http://www.ampbyariens.com, they have also manufactured a battery operated ride on mower.
