Hi Everyone, I just joined the group as I have been researching electric propulsion for my sailboat. I have a new Honda BF8 Classic outboard but I'd like to convert to electric for the learning experience. The boat is about 4000# displacement, 2000# being the lead keel so it is very stable. I am searching for a donor motor for cheap or free. So far I am looking at this motor... Etek replacement.
Has anyone done a conversion for this size displacement hull before? I'm just looking for some guidance or advice from someone with a similar conversion.
