[Electric Boats] Re: Electric 79 Larson 26 footer

Hi dibby32000

I have bought the same motor as auxiliary motor for my 31' 4t sailing boat. I will mount the motor on a spesial leg, on the side og the boat, and swing it aft and up out of the water when not in use.
My boat is still on the dry, but I will come back with a test report later.

Had a bit of a tail wind which probably canceled out the slight current that runs thru the lake here (Onondaga Lake in Syracuse, NY) It took about an hour so I figure I was getting 4 mph. Part of the time I ran at 75%.

You will have to bore them out a bit to fit the motor shaft and dremel a shear pin slot but they come in many combinations of dia and pitch. You will need an ammeter to measure motor current consumption. The prop you use should create more than the amp draw the motor with stock prop pulls while tied to the dock.
