I was going through some old Emails at a site and came across a message from the delivery captain who brought my lagoon 410 up from the BVI's to the Chesapeake Bay to the prior owner so I thought I would see if he had any info to share. Tony, I ran across an Email from 08 that you had brought an Electric Lagoon 410 up to the Thanks Steve Hi Steve - Sorry for the delay - I've been crossing the Yes - it was Magic. At the time, she did everything she was supposed to and we only used a teaspoonful of fuel. Regeneration may have slowed the boat a tad but I thought it was hardly noticeable. We had tons of spare power and indeed had to bleed off by running the motors slow ahead whilst sailing. This system comes into its own on long passages - it aint much good for small hops as you'll never get enough juice into the batteries. Charter companies here in the bvi's have had problems with that as our cruising ground only consists of short hops. Have fun with Magic (Now Electra Glide) and send Pat the previous owner my best regards!! Tony This confirmed the first 410's well documented trip across the While sailing the Bay I have never been able to fully recharge the batteries under Regeneration alone. The regen is mostly used for the house system load while under sail and then the Genset for charging at anchor or long runs up a creek and when becalmed. I'll see if I can get more info on her.
