Carel-
Not just “some born in the USA”----I’d bet most of the people in this Yahoo Group didn’t know what the intent of that “bump” meant. I didn’t.
I’ve been on this group for several years now (since 2002?) and have been Moderator of this group for 6 or so years and don’t recall anyone using the “bump” term ever. Maybe I just ignored it because I didn’t understand it---I don’t know.
And I don’t know that this “bump” post did much good. Most of the posts on this thread since posting “bump” have been to ask, speculate or clarify on the meaning of “bump”. And that is a problem that I’m even adding to here.
Suggestion to all: Please consider the side effects of being too brief in posting a response. Dropping a cryptic phrase or term that a minority of the 4000+ on this list would know doesn’t help. Better to take a little more time and type “no one answered this question” rather than “bump”.

thanks for everybodies clariifications. Glad to see even some "borm in the USA" did not know exactly what it meant. Also abbreviations like LOL, IMHO and others took me some time to figure out. It is part of Email I know but sometimes difficult.
But go on all of you, I love this group.
