Can you tell us what model controller you used? Do you have forward and reverse? And I assume that is an Endura motor?
The unit looks at first glance to be too big to get through the cutout, but I assume you can just squeeze it through if you tilt it just right?
I've got a 120 AH AGM and a 30 lb Endura sitting around and I might try this is in my next sailboat build (20'6" x 5'4" Spritsail Skiff, traditional lines but built light using ply/stitch and glue).
