Hi Rickey
I installed an electric motor from a company called Electroprop ( James Lambden) and have been very pleased with it. Electroprop provided all the equipment that I needed and it came all connected in a box. All I had to do was decide where to put the batteries and chargers etc which I can share photos with you. I have a binnacle which has controls for forward/reverse and motor on/ off on it. I used the controls already there. The great thing about the Catalina 30 is it has great space for the motor and BatteriesMine is an 83 boat like yoursMy wife loves the no fumes that an electric motor gives you.I plan on solar panels for next winter but charge the batteries from shore power right now.Rgds Peter
