[Electric Boats] New Member, Safety Question

 

Hi all,


I have been designing a boat/system for the Wye Island challenge and had some worst case scenario thoughts.


I am running about 100 volts of lithium batteries, and if the boat were to sink, could close proximity cause electrocution?

Its moving forward now. Got the old iron out Monday and am cleanin and paint prepping now. Getting final dimensions and $ to Electroprop so they can start building our Islander plug in package. Uber excited!! James at Electroprop is a wealth of information and has been a pleasure to work with!!

[Electric Boats] Wye Island Electric Boat Marathon

 

The 24 mile electric boat race around Wye Island has been postponed due to weather. It will be held on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 at the Miles River Yacht Club at 10am.

[Electric Boats] Re: Cheap Hybrid Setup. New to electric but learning.

 

Hi Denny  Who do you recommend for parts/install instructions for electric conversion.  I have a 1980 Hunter with Renault 8hp diesel engine and am interested in future conversion. Thanks.
