A few folks in Thailand are also interested in doing that. There are noise and smog emission problems with all the longtail tour boats, so Barry at http://www.electricboatsthailand.com/ in Hua Hin started years ago experimenting with electric longtails. They have been successful with the Firefly, targeting the firefly tour district in Bangkok. Recently they added a large electric cat, the SunCat1 for coastal cruises.
Call him. Collaboration helps the whole market.
