Thanks electric seas. I was out of town when the tsunami hit but I did see the after effects and youtube videos. Just found this one; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MDnlcbRMaQ

I may consider selling the electric motor separate if anyone is interested. It's similar to the Solid Nav system, with a 48volt Mars brushless, Sevcon Millpac controller, belt driven power transmission 4 group 24 batteries and a Procharge 4 bank charger. If anyone in the San Francisco Bay area is interested, let me know. I'd like to sell it before I pull it out of the boat. It's a sad day when i have to put an outboard on an electric boat to sell it.

> Russ- Don't take the electric motor out!!! Your boat would definitely decrease in value if you replaced it with an ICE outboard. I agree, in this economy a "yacht" is a hard sell, but those people who said they're scared away by the electric motor were probably talking themselves out of buying a boat anyway. If you explain and talk up the advantages to potential buyers, I'm sure there are many who would consider the electric system something that adds value. Just wait a few more months when gas prices go up again- or in a few years when it skyrockets (just wait!).
