Here is a link to my late write-up of our little EBAF (Electric Boat Association of Florida) get together that took place a couple of weeks ago. The idea here is to host a few events in Florida throughout the year that generate some interest and awareness about our common affliction, that being messing about in electric boats. This new club will be sponsored by business in the electric marine propulsion industry and will welcome individuals to join as well.
I contacted all of the local manufacturers and/or dealers whom I could find in Florida but we couldn't find a combination of date and place that worked for everyone so as a result participation was really low, but that didn't stop us from having the `first annual' event. Hey, it only takes 2 to race, and we had 3! Next year we will cast a wider net and hope to get many more entries.
For those who are interested I just posted up the most basic of basic websites that will be the virtual home of EBAF. You can find us at www.EBAF.org and you'll see a brief description and a couple of short videos. I've got lot's more video but no time to put it all together at the moment.
